Before I came to Venice, a lot of my friends recommended Bigoi! For it being fast food pasta, the food was not too bad! I tried the pesto, cheese & pepper and the bolognese (beef) sauce.
The noodles were plump and had an al-dente chewy firmness! I highly recommend the bolognese beef!
There is only standing area and it can be a bit crowded. This more of a place to go to if you need a quick bite! -

Never trust any recommendation from vlogs that start out "We're in Venice for a day". Put it another way, if you have only one day in Venice; don't bother.
Venice rewards those for whom time doesn't matter and delivers a rude slap in the face to those who rush.
I should have known better.
What the?!?
4.5 Stars? I call BS!
They serve one thing, takeaway Bigoli. A thick, toothsome well seasoned semolina based egg pasta with many surface imperfections for the sauce to cling to. When done right, it's rustic and oh so good.
Unfortunately, the pasta is made fresh daily, par cooked and air dried. When ordered, it is reheated in simmering water, put in a deep eco friendly takeaway container and topped by your choice of "sauces".
Twice cooked equals a gummy, gooey, mess. Pasta sticking together. Mix the sauce in, everything breaks up into short 2cm segments that's better eaten with a spoon. Horrible stodgy mouth feel. Very heavy. One dimensional. Even sips of wine doesn't have enough acidity to cut through.
Bolognese, amatriciana and caccio e pepe ordered. No complaints on the sauces but no container finished.
Fast and cheap (5 minutes / 5,50€). Just right for the despised day tripping tourist. Epic fail. -

I'm visiting Venice for a few days and have been craving some HOME MADE pasta!
I looked at a few places and wanted to try Bigoi after walking past it a few times. Bigoi is easy to find, near lots of shops, and has free WiFi!
I ordered #5 the Bolognese pasta and loved the texture, quality and taste of the pasta. The pasta comes in a cup in you can take it Togo or stand and eat at a counter top.
I wish there were seats, especially after a long day of walking, but still worth it -

While walking around Venice there were several spots that sold this fast/to-go style pasta. This placed was very clean and looked very inviting. You order your choice of pasta and they cook in minutes. It's definitely becoming a trend. You see all the different sauces in front of you which is really cool. The pasta was a bit more al dente than I'm use too and both the pasta and the sauce was a bit too salty. I got the bolognese and it was very delicious. It looks small but there was a lot of sauce and plenty of meat in the sauce. Best part about it is that it was only 6 euros!

We need one of these in the states. A decent sized cup of delicious pasta for 6€ that's ready in 5 minutes? Sign me up. I asked which ones were the most popular and she said the beef bolognaise and the duck ragu. I ended up getting the duck and it was so tasty! I was starving after doing so much walking and this definitely hit the spot!
The place itself was empty when we walked in, but by the time we finished eating (10-15 mins later) you could barely move in there. The restaurant is small and there are no seats, only wooden counters/bars that line the walls. Having the pasta piled in a cup makes it really easy to eat standing up though, or even on the go.
I would definitely recommend this as a quick, delicious lunch option if you don't feel like killing an hour or two and paying 10€+ for your food.
